So today my business partner and I, who ironically is my brother, were looking at some statistics about OUR OWN website. We recently started a new SEO campaign for our website eilersmarketing.com. These days, SEO is a big part of our day to day business, so we wanted to make sure that if people were looking for a local SEO expert, they found us. I mean, who is going to hire a firm that isn't at the top of the charts for their own SEO? We are sitting at #1, if you search for "michigan seo". This is pretty powerful, because as you all know, the link at the top gets clicked more than others. We also discovered (well before we optimized for those keywords) that people actually DO search for "michigan seo". Wow, isn't that profound? If you can't sense the sarcasm in my voice here, then I don't know what to tell you. Obviously, we prepared for this. We discovered the words people are searching for, we optimized our website to those words, and we EXPECTED to see our site at the top before long. The point I am trying to get across is this - SEO works! Especially when you know what you are doing. Don't try and figure it out yourselves, you've got more important things to do.
